John Meyers, Norfolk, Virginia
John Meyers was born in the Mission San Jose district of California in late 1960 and has had a passion for drawing and painting since as far back as he can remember.
He has studied under the late Bea Kuhlke, who was a prolific and popular impressionistic painter and teacher in South Carolina. John’s inspiration has always been the great French impressionistic painters.
As residents of East Beach and now almost empty nesters, John and his wife, Margaret, are enjoying the excitement of planning what to do with their spare time ... and for John, that would be painting the beautiful scenes of boats, beaches and architecture that surround them in the coastal areas of Virginia.
